Commissioner Reding's speech on the occasion of the European Competitive Telecommunications Association (ECTA) conference in Brussels. In this occasion, Reding emphasized that the ICT sector will play a crucial role to recover from the crisis: "Not only will deployment of or upgrade to high-speed broadband networks trigger civil works and employment today, it will provide a basis for enhanced productivity and competitiveness and unlock the innovation potential of Europe tomorrow."
