ENTER has drawn up this document to identify the level of implantation of virtual working and teleworking practices in Spanish ICT firms. According to the figures for the companies analysed in the report, the number of teleworkers is currently around the 30% mark, with target-based employees reaching 42%. As far as virtual working is concerned, the number of employees with permanent access to the Internet, e-mail and collaborative work tools is almost 100%. Companies' expectations in these practices can be grouped together into three categories: social factors associated with the company's employees (as an improvement to work-family compatibility); work and communications processes (including the improvement of the work and communication systems of employees who are on the move); and the impact on the business (e.g. the increase in productivity).
